With championship golf play in South Florida in high demand, the grand debut of Tesoro Club is a welcome find for those seeking a new private club lifestyle. Anticipation has been building for months, and now Tesoro Club in Port St. Lucie is officially celebrating its grand opening. In addition to picturesque championship golf and an iconic clubhouse, this gated, natural community is also home to a new collection of move-in-ready single-family homes. Its visionary new ownership team has delivered on its promises to create an exceptional resort lifestyle for its current and future residents. Discover what the future holds for both resident and non-resident Members of this private golf oasis on Florida’s Treasure Coast.
36 Holes of Championship Golf
After an extensive 18-month renovation, full golf Members are now enjoying unlimited play on Tesoro Club’s first championship course, the Palmer Course. The 7,333-yard, par-72 course is a spectacular and dramatic anchor to the community’s golf experience, combining a strategic PGA-level design with picturesque views of the surrounding lakes and wetlands. Head Golf Professional Matthew Doyle and his team are well underway with providing expert instruction for men, ladies, and juniors of all skill levels. A robust event schedule is planned to start in January as well, including golf schools, men’s and women’s games, invitationals, tournament qualifiers, and much more. Tesoro Club looks forward to continuing its golf experience with its second championship golf course, the Watson course, planned for completion in 2024.
“We have a fabulous golf facility, and our golf staff is ready and excited for the season,” shared Head Golf Professional Matthew Doyle. “Both the Palmer and Watson course are unique in their own ways, providing two different styles of Florida golf that will take your breath away. The Palmer course features spectacular waterways and wide-open spaces, while the Watson course winds through grassland preserves and pine forests to provide a completely different experience.”
Resort-Style Amenities Include Two Dining Venues
Championship golf, however, is just the beginning of an exciting collection of resort-style amenities designed to captivate all the senses. Overlooking the lakes and fairways of the Palmer course, the three-story landmark Clubhouse provides a wealth of exclusive services for Members to enjoy. The state-of-the-art Fitness Center is now open, featuring the latest cardio and strength training equipment, yoga classes with Registered Yoga Teacher Gina L. Buse, and body sculpting classes through NASM personal trainer Francesca Indellicati. After a workout the spa provides three unique massage opportunities to relax and rejuvenate. A wide array of facials will also be available, including the Tesoro Signature Facial and anti-aging facials. The Clubhouse is also home to The Terrace Grill, an exceptional indoor/outdoor dining venue to enjoy a great array of wines and casual bites.
“We want every Member to feel special and be proud of Tesoro Club when they bring their guests,” shared Owner Tim Jones. “We’re going to create an atmosphere that people feel good about and we expect to be considered one of the best Clubs in the region.”
Outdoor Enjoyment at the Swim & Racquet Club
Tesoro Club is also home to a second clubhouse that is open for social and full golf Members. The Swim & Racquet Club features a junior Olympic, 30-meter zero-edge swimming pool, nine tennis courts, eleven pickleball courts, two bocce lawns, and casual poolside dining at Cabanas. A peninsula-shaped outdoor bar will serve cocktails and refreshments poolside with fire pit gathering areas for evening activities.
“We see Tesoro Club as a place where you’ll meet new friends, but you’ll also enjoy it with your family,” shared Owner Rod O’Connor. “It’s going to attract a lot of outdoor families who are active, enjoy nature, wildlife, and just enjoy spending time with loved ones.”
Tennis and Pickleball Are in Full Swing
The racquet program has already had an astounding response from Members, with local professional Luisa Subia providing lessons and clinics for players of all skill levels. Tennis Director Terri Gaskill, a certified USPTA Elite Tennis Professional with over 30 years of experience, has been curating a calendar of events designed to bring people together, including Dinks & Drinks, Mix and Split Doubles Round Robins, and Team Bocce games.
“Our programs will have something for everyone – whether it’s a four-year-old or 94-year-old,” said Gaskill. “I’m very big on round robins and social mixers, and that’s been the base program of building an engaged Club environment. It’s a great way to meet, mix, and just create a sense of community.”
It’s All Just a Golf Cart Ride Away
Whether or not Members play golf, Tesoro Club’s private community design features dedicated pathways that easily connect residents to their homes, the amenities, and key points spread throughout the community. No matter how Members travel throughout this community’s 1,400 acres, however, they will find that wide open spaces are at the forefront of the community’s design. Homes are nestled in secluded neighborhoods, allowing expansive views of golf, nature preserves, and scenic lakes along the primary corridor to be maintained and embraced rather than blocked.
“When I first came through the gates of Tesoro Club, my first impression was the sheer beauty of it,” shared Owner Rod O’Connor. “The size of the community, the waterways, the wildlife, and simply the overall openness. It strikes you from the moment you enter through the gates.”
New Luxury Home Collection Unveiled
Along with a world-class collection of amenities, Tesoro Club has just unveiled an exciting collection of new residential options. Two of the nation’s top home builders, WCI Communities and Toll Brothers, are both underway with the construction and sales of new neighborhoods within Tesoro Club. WCI Communities anticipates opening their on-site sales gallery in January, while Toll Brothers has planned for a February release. A premier selection of custom home builders will also be available to provide estate-sized, private residences. Widely recognized for their expertise and construction quality, these builders will combine a variety of architectural styles with Tesoro Club’s spectacular natural setting to create an enviable indoor/outdoor Florida lifestyle.
